Nicola Peltz

Nicola Peltz will play the role of Katara, in M Night Shyamalan’s movie adaptation of Avatar The Last Airbender. Nicola Peltz has had a limited number of roles so far. Her role of Katara will be her largest.

Peltz’ attempt at playing Katara has already gotten off to a rough start in some fan’s eyes. There has been a lot of controversy in the Avatar The Last Airbender fan community about the races of the actors playing the characters. Katara appears to be a dark-skinned character in the Avatar cartoon on Nickelodeon. Peltz, on the other hand, is very fair-skinned. From the screenshots of the movie available, she appears obviously fair-skinned.

While many people are writing her off for being dark-skinned, I think she can win them over with a superior performance. M Night Shyamalan has turned children into stars before, and I think he can help Peltz and Noah Ringer become stars. Peltz ability to play a great Katara by using her skills as an actor, not her skin color, is most important.

More important than anything, will be Nicola Peltz’s chemistry between her, Noah Ringer, and Dev Patel. In the animated series, Katara appeared to have feelings for Aang (commonly called Kataang, short for Katara and Aang) and Zuko (commonly called Zutara, short for Zuko and Katara). We all know that there will be some amazing scenes with great special effects in this movie. The thing that will set it apart from all the other effects-laden short-plotted flicks is the relationships between the actors. Their chemistry will be crucial in pleasing skeptical fans. At Airbender Gear we feel that Nicola and the others will be able to pull it off.

There isn’t much information readily available about Nicola Peltz as of this writing. That will change once she is recognized for her performance as Katara. She is a cute girl with her first prominent role; she has a great opportunity to succeed and win over a fan base.
